America's Drug-Prevention Network, Inc. (AD-PN) has chosen NOT-to-be a not-for-profit (501 C-3) organization. Therefore we cannot promise a tax deduction for a free-will contribution to us or for your individual purchases. However, if you purchase products from AD-PN you can contribute those products 'in-kind' to any registered 501 (c)(3) organization and receive fair market purchase price deduction from your taxes for that contribution. (Using this ability to receive in-kind donations you see many organizations ask you to donate your cars, airplanes, RV's and boats to them.)
In the early spring 2004 we applied for tax exempt status for our new organization we titled and registered to be known as the Family Empowerment Foundation. In June of 2004 we received a letter from the IRS giving the Family Empowerment Foundation 501 (c)(3) status and authority. Therefore authorized contributions in money and kind can be given to the Family Empowerment Foundation and receive favorable tax deductible status.
The mission of the Family Empowerment Foundation is to find those products and programs that empower families for good purposes and to raise money to purchase and distribute those products and programs to less advantaged families and to organizations that service those families. Family Empowerment Foundation will also accept in-kind donations of those approved products and programs and pass those on to qualified organizations and individuals.
If you purchase or sponsor the programs from America's Drug-Prevention Network, Inc. you can direct us to deliver those programs directly to the Family Empowerment Foundation in your name as an in-kind donation. You will receive a letter of acknowledgement and receipt of your contribution from Family Empowerment Foundation which you can use for tax purposes.
If you have a favorite charity whom you would like to see use our materials you can purchase the programs from America's Drug-Prevention Network, Inc. and make an 'in-kind' donation of our programs to them. For tax purposes you need to receive a letter of acknowledgement and receipt from your charity.
