Welcome to the Official Kids Against Drugs website. I'm
Michael Meredith the
Founder and National Director of the Kids Against Drugs Campaign for
Drug-Free Families. I'm an author and a public speaker and I write and talk
about family issues. I've spent the last 20 years developing this family drug
prevention program
and writing the "Kids Against Drugs Family Action Training Plan". In 1998 I developed this web site and its
contents and have been updating it continually since. I'm here to stay and I'm excited about the Internet and its power to
distribute information, and motivate and train the grassroots public quickly.
Did you know that every President of the United States since President Eisenhower has stressed the importance of parents communicating directly with their own children about recreational drugs. Today we are witnessing the White House Office of Drug Policy promoting a nationwide, ongoing media campaign emphasizing this very important point. I want to point out that parental guidance and influence has always been my focus and my whole family drug prevention program is designed to be a parent-child interactive educational and bonding experience.
This Family Drug Prevention Campaign for Drug-Free Families is about families, traditional, single parent and blended. We're on a mission to strengthen and protect families. We show parents how to become Parents Against Drugs and in turn they can show their kids how to CHOOSE to live Drug Free Lifestyles.
To do this I have written a new, unique and proprietary, Home
Study Family Drug Prevention System called "The Kids Against Drugs Family Action Training Plan". This system focuses on building and
reinforcing family relationships, bonding and other important family issues such as
Family Drug Prevention. In this program I emphasize the truth about addiction
and recreational drugs and
discuss several drug prevention techniques. I might mention that this
proprietary, scientifically based, comprehensive family program enhances every
other drug prevention and treatment system available.
I've done this because every family is affected every day in some way, by the horrors of drug use and addiction. I often say, "If you're embarrassed to say no and don't like to use the effort it takes to refuse the peer pressure to use drugs, you really won't enjoy the amount of effort it takes to control your addiction and the constant overwhelming life-time struggle of recovery".

This site is set up to tell you all about this unique Family Drug Prevention System, how to order it and why you can feel secure using it with your family. Have you noticed that recently President Bush has been emphasizing that terrorism is being funded by the illegal drug business. He has also been declaring the common theme that parents need to talk with their children about recreational drugs. He encourages all Americans to stop buying the recreational drugs that destroy young lives while financing the terrorist activities of the drug cartels. I agree and I'm in total support.
I have started a Blog and invite you to check it out. Here you will find daily experiences, thoughts, frustrations and just about anything that I am thinking about. I'll announce new articles, programs, publications and projects. Overall it should keep you informed and somewhat entertained.
